Co-organised by British Council and the Hong Kong Design Centre, the forum unites designers, artists, architects, academics, policy makers and opinion leaders from the UK, Hong Kong and mainland China in a professional tripartite dialogue with a focus on the integration of good urban design and community involvement in the process. Hong Kong and China, like the UK, are working towards an urban design process which is inclusive, sustainable, people-focused, and which balances the needs of the business sector and the community. Case studies on good practice from the UK, China and Hong Kong will be presented from different professional perspectives with roundtable discussions to identify opportunities for international cooperation in the context of urban design.
