Victor Lo Chung Wing GBS OBE JP
Chairman, Board of Governors, Hong Kong Design Centre
Victor Lo is a visionary campaigner deeply committed and respected across the region for his contributions to promoting innovation and technology and for his distinguished community service. He is currently chairman of the Board of Governors at Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC). He is also a member of the Executive Council of Hong Kong SAR, chairman of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, council chairman of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University as well as chairman and chief executive of Gold Peak Industries (Holdings) Limited, the holding company of an Asian multinational group in the battery and electronics industries.
In his leadership role at HKDC, Victor is focused on the long-term development of Hong Kong as an important design hub. He is a member of the Board of Overseers of the Institute of Design (ID) at Illinois University of Technology, Chicago. He is also a member of the Hong Kong SAR's Steering Committee on Innovation and Technology. He was chairman of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries from 2001 to 2003.
Victor received the Hong Kong Young Industrialist Award in 1989 and was named Industrialist of the Year in 2005.
Victor graduated from the Institute of Design of Illinois of Technology in the US with a Bachelor of Science degree in Product Design.
